WHERE DO I VOTE?
AM I REGISTERED TO VOTE?
If you are not yet registered to vote, you may do so up to one week prior to November elections (Election Day) in one of three ways:
1. Online here.
2. In person - at the Registrars of Voters Office in Old Town Hall (611 Old Post Road) from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, or 8:30am to 8:00pm on the Tuesday before Election Day.
3. By mail.
RIDES TO THE POLLS
We want every eligible resident to vote, regardless of lack of transportation. If you need a ride to the polls, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or contact the Registrar of Voters at 203-256-3115.
If you are unable to make it to the polls in person on the day of an election, primary, or referendum, you may vote via absentee ballot. In Connecticut, absentee voting is permitted only for one of the following reasons: physical disability, absence from the town during all of the hours of voting, or for religious reasons.
Absentee voting in Connecticut is a two-step process. First, an Absentee Ballot Application form must be completed, signed, and filed with the Town Clerk so that an actual ballot can be issued.
Next, after you receive your actual absentee ballot, complete it and sign it according to the instructions that are included and return it to Fairfield’s Town Clerk (by mail or in person). Only completed absentee ballots received before the close of polls on the day of the election will be counted.
Absentee Ballot Applications are available online at the Secretary of State's website. Click here for more info. and to download an absentee ballot application form. They can also be obtained at the office of the Fairfield Town Clerk (at Town Hall, 611 Old Post Road).
