Absentee Ballot Application

Voting By Mail

Absentee voting in Connecticut is a two-step process. A completed and signed Absentee Ballot Application must be filed with the Town Clerk before a ballot is issued. (It can be mailed to you, even overseas.) You can download a CT Absentee Ballot Application from the Secretary of State’s office here:

You have to mail or return the application in person (if a Fairfield resident) to:

Absentee Voting in Person

Fairfield, CT

Within 31 days of an election, if you meet the absentee voting criteria above and wish to absentee vote in person, visit the Town Clerk's Office at 611 Old Post Road (203-256-3090) Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM or the Saturday before Election Day from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Registered voters can submit their Absentee Ballot Application, receive their Absentee Ballot and vote in the same visit.
